1. Who We Are

Qol provides AI-powered language tutoring designed to help users improve pronunciation, speaking, and real-world conversation skills through voice-based interaction. If you have questions, contact us at support@useqol.com.

2. Information We Collect

We collect information necessary to provide, improve, and secure the Service.

a. Account Information

When you create an account, we may collect your name, email address, password, language preferences, and account settings.

b. Voice and Speech Data

When you interact with the Qol tutor using voice, your audio input may be processed to generate AI tutor responses and pronunciation feedback. Speech data may also be converted into text transcripts for analysis, and pronunciation metrics or feedback scores may be generated.

This data may be processed by trusted service providers including OpenAI for speech recognition and AI responses. Certain session data may be stored securely using Supabase to support progress tracking and learning history.

c. Usage Data

We may collect information about how you interact with the Service, including device type, operating system, browser type, IP address, session duration, tutor interaction data, and app performance and diagnostics.

d. Payment Data

When you purchase a subscription, payments are processed securely by Stripe. Qol does not store full credit card information. Stripe may collect billing details according to its own privacy policy.

e. Cookies and Analytics

We use cookies and similar technologies for authentication, analytics, personalization, and security. You may control cookies through your browser settings.

3. How We Use Your Information

We use collected information to:

• Provide and operate the Qol Service,
• Deliver pronunciation feedback and tutoring responses,

We do not sell personal data to advertisers.

• Supabase — for authentication, data storage, and database management,
• Stripe — for subscription billing and payment processing, and
• Analytics providers — to understand usage patterns and improve product performance.

These providers are contractually obligated to protect user data. We do not share your personal information with advertisers.

5. Data Retention

We retain personal data only as long as necessary. Account data is retained while your account remains active. Learning progress and conversation history may be stored to support your learning experience. Voice or session data may be retained temporarily for analysis and improvement.

6. Account Deletion

You may request deletion of your Qol account and associated data at any time by contacting support@useqol.com. After deletion, your personal data will be removed from our systems except where retention is required for legal or security reasons.

7. Data Security

We use industry-standard security practices including encrypted connections, secure infrastructure, and access controls. However, no online service can guarantee absolute security.

8. Your Rights

Depending on your location, you may have rights to:

• Correct inaccurate data,
